Greetings Bent on Blues (BoB) friends!
From each of us… Geoff, Matt, Trish, Perry and Anthony… we want to extend our heartfelt welcome!
We are thrilled to bring you a clean sound with original song writing. Our experience as a group has made us appreciate the music at a deeper level than we thought possible. We take great joy in putting a skip in your step, and a smile on your face! Winners of the International Blues Challenge in Yakima, Wa. in 2015, we love the blues and also love to “rock it up” and have fun.
We know you’re here because we share a passion for great music that continues to deeply move us all in directions that feed our heart and soul…
While we call ourselves a “Blues” band, we don’t love being colored as one dimensional, in that we take what is old and make it fresh again, by putting a different “twist” to the “shout”, so to speak. We love making our own indelible sound that is guaranteed to keep you coming back for more…
Our “styles ” include Memphis, Deep Dish Chicago, Mississippi and righteous hell-raisin’ Texas electric blues; we are dedicated to playing and performing originals and classics tastefully interpreted and presented in ways guaranteed to “git yer mojo workin” and “yer hips a’shakin baby”…!!! We look forward to you attending one of our upcoming shows and are always excited to play in new venues and events. Whether they are parks, pubs, breweries, wineries or even private parties.. We can make your live music experience complete…!!!!
Meet The Band:
Matt has enjoyed playing bass since high school and has toured professionally up and down the west coast with an assortment of punk rock bands, until he found a new love for the blues. Awesome style and feel as well as comfort writing and singing his own songs, he really packs a punch! He’s gotta be good, he plays left handed, with the strings upside down!
Geoff has actively been involved with playing guitar and singing for over 20 years. Not new to performing, he has enjoyed singing and playing to fans in the Northwest in various venues and playing many different styles of music including acoustic 6 and 12 string guitar as well as laying down awesome rhythms on his Fender Strat!!!
Trish joined BoB in 2012 and continues to bring fun and high energy to the stage. Simply put, we wouldn’t be who we are and progressed as far as we have without her. Sultry blues and lead vocals as well as sweet harmonies add to the multiple colors and depth of our music. A voice to be experienced. She has been with the regionally acclaimed trio “BlueZette” since 2004 with her friend and mentor pianist Steve Haberman (who occasionally joins us too!)
Perry Roper Blues Guitar. Opened for Bo Diddley in 1990, IEBS Best Blues Band 2004, Untapped “Eric Nyberg” Keeping The Blues Alive Award in 2013. Roper has lived, loved and performed the greatest art on Earth – Blues Baby! “You know, I am Tricky” Hubert Sumlin
